Really bad

Really bad itineraries, this application need a big update... This app tried to force us to cross a river... Please.

Excellent

I like this App, It works perfect during my travelling in NZ and Australia. Even offroads like the Gibb River Road are in the map, I have used parallel a TomTom Navigation and that was not in the map. I can recomment to buy. Its just easy to use and I never got lost. Perfect for a enjoyable holiday. The traffic channel works very good. Very useful in big cities with traffic lights and red light cameras.

Worst Navi since the makeover update

3D and POI doesnt work quite well, crash downs, it takes longer time to get a signal for GPS Menustyle is bad and all my statistics are away. i would not recommend it there are Navis for free which are better

nz

super in neuseeland

Maps wrong now

Suburbs of Hobart now named wrong. Melbourne also has problems. Map sourcing questionable. Sadly losing ground on other cheaper products which have closed the gap.

We use the APP during our 3 month road trip through Aus and NZ. It was great and a lot cheaper than the rental car add-on or the stand alone unit.

Excellent!!!

It is very easy to use and very clear instruction

Great offline map app

Very useful without internet connections.

Great product

Exactly what you need from a GPS based navigation system

Bug needs fixing

This app needs fixing. It wont let you type in the exact house/building number. It brings you to the right street but wont lead you to the exact house/building number coz you cant type the numbers in when searching for it.

Great navigation especially offline

I have used Sygic in three countries. Australia, New Zealand and the US. In all cases it has gotten me to my final destination. Not witHout some hiccups at times but nothing major. It makes better routing decisions than my Garmin does in the US. The feature I like the most is being able to download maps then being able to navigate without being online. This is really useful in both Australia and NZ especially in cities. I purchased the world wide version since I travel a lot and plan to use it when we head for South America. I would recommend this to a friend.

Good stuff

My first turn by turn app. Pretty good presentaton, menu system a little confusing (need to dig a little too deep into menus/options to find basic functions likecancel route). Takes a while to lock-in current position, but this may be more to do with the iphone that the application itself. All up, pretty impressive for the first turn-by-turn app on the market.

Best Turn-By-Turn Navigation For The IPhone in Australia

Great App. Not perfect, but damn good. Feels a lot like a Tom Tom device. Easy to use. The new update brings some big improvements, including the ability to listen to audio / music and still get directions (you can switch off directions by hitting the mute button). Things Id improve: Better integration with the iPhones internal address book (none that I could see). Using the iPhone keyboard instead of their own OK, but different keyboard. Id love to have an option to PAUSE the audio, not just speak over it. When youve got a loud song playing the directions can get lost. When youre listening to a podcast, you will miss the audio that gets spoken over. Id love to see a really quick way to bookmark locations as well. Overall, an amazing app. Truly transforming the iPhone into a quality turn-by-turn app. Ive used this on the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS and it works great on both platforms.

Like it better than my Navman

Been testing this around Auckland and it is pretty darn good. No POIs for speed cameras in my area though (maybe that latest update was only for Oz). Re-routing is pretty quick, maps are generally accurate, including the speed limits. Not perfect but so nice to have it with me always.

Pretty darn good

I have this and a mate has the tom tom version. Having had the chance to place with both now, I actually prefer this one. Although the POI database on the tom tom version is better. Hopefully it will get more populated as updates come out. Highly recommended if your considering gettining one of these.

impressive!

this new ver pressed me. how about increase volume for these voices woth TTS?

The map is out of date

The map is out of date,i dont like the route it calculated. I think sygic need more research for better route calculation.k

What if we owned both apps

I feel a bit ripped off... Bought Mobile Maps Australia/NZ then bought Sygic Australia/NZ and it turns out they are the same app. This should be a lot more clear to avoid having people pay twice.

Awesome.

If it has a daily free map updates features that would be perfect!! Its the best Navigators in the app store. Perfect UI. Worth it!!! By onosaka_d

Corrected: Get what you pay for ... or less

Below is review I wrote about version 8.2 about 1.5 years ago or so. The present version 11.2.5 is actually quite usable. There are still things I do not like but now Sygic seems to me better than Navigon that also use. ---- My old review I am blaming myself for buying this stuff. To my taste, spoiled by Tomtom and Navigon, this product does not provide enough customization, the number of features is disappointingly small and the menu is very convenient. Overall I feel the product is highly overpriced. Given the quality, I think it should cost at most $10.
